Launch of the Blue Line Corridor Coalition: A Community-Driven Vision for 20743

On October 29, 2025, Prince George’s Arts & Humanities Council (PGAHC) was proud to partner with the Blue Line Corridor Coalition (BLCC) and The Capital Markets to officially launch the Blue Line Corridor Coalition in Seat Pleasant, MD. This collaborative initiative marks a significant step forward in the effort to transform the 20743 zip code through community-driven planning, public-private partnerships, and intentional investment in the arts, culture, and placemaking.

As part of our role in the event, PGAHC sponsored the Blueprints Storytelling Wall activation, an interactive community engagement experience that invited attendees to share their stories, hopes, and visions for the future of the Blue Line Corridor. The storytelling wall served as a space to gather authentic community input—an essential step in ensuring the voices of residents remain central to the revitalization process.

In addition, PGAHC showcased a growing portfolio of public art and placemaking projects throughout the corridor. Highlights included murals and creative infrastructure projects in Seat Pleasant, Fairmount Heights, and Capitol Heights, funded through a Community Placemaking grant from the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). These projects are helping to transform everyday spaces into vibrant hubs of identity, memory, and connection.

The Blue Line Corridor represents more than development—it’s a movement toward cultural equity, economic inclusion, and creative empowerment. As this work continues, PGAHC remains committed to uplifting local artists, amplifying community voices, and using the arts as a tool to shape a more connected and inspired Prince George’s County.

Stay tuned for future updates and ways to get involved as this transformative work continues.
